Motivated Young Scholars (MYS) was established as a 501 (c) 3 not-for profit organization in 2012. MYS is very passionate about the well-being of youth and families and wanted to provide services that would help build and strengthen communities.
The homeschool center provides a place where families can come with their learners to receive home-school education and curriculum support. The center is in an athletic facility and serves as a co-op for families. Families can participate in tumbling classes, dance classes, gymnastics, skill building, and more.
Want an Accredited Diploma?
MYS is one of the diploma-granting organizations, recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) to provide diplomas to graduates of Pennsylvania home education programs.
For more information, download the free Guide to PA Homeschool Law (pdf) which explains the PA Home Education Law.
Families, who are members, can have their documents downloaded into a Google designated account to hold samples of the student's work until graduations. There will be a fee of $35 to access the account. Parents can then request a diploma using the Diplomas Request Form and send it in along with $65 for the Diploma.
After we receive the Diplomas Request form, the information will be given to your evaluator who can then fill out the student's transcripts. A copy of the transcripts with the evaluator's letter will be mailed to you to distribute to a prospective college or employer.
