Project S.O.N.'s (Serving our Neighbors) Great Food Give-Away

Updated: 6 days ago

Project S.O.N. of Abiding Truth Ministries formed the We Care Initiative to help support the residence of Philadelphia. On Saturday, June 27th from 10 am - 2 pm, the We Care Initiative gave out free food to community residence. Many supporters and partners, such as, Motivated Young Scholars and The Council of Negro Women, Philabundance, Share, Food Connect, and local churches were instrumental in the success of this event through the donation of non-perishable food items, and household items.

It was a great day as residence from all around came by with their shopping carts to get all that they needed. The event served well over 400 residence. "It felt so good to be able to be a blessing to so many people. If there were seniors who could not get out, we had runners to service them directly." " It was a great day so show brotherly love in Philadelphia" said Verna Aggie, event president and coordinator. Pastor Benjamin Green was very pleased at the outcome of the event and was thrilled that Abiding Truth Ministries was able to meet the needs of the community. The mission of Abiding Truth Ministries is to catch, cultivate and commission souls for the work of the ministry and the kingdom of God.
